What does it mean to actually do a 'candid' session? A session with love, adventure, play, and dreamy sunsett-y moments? For me, it means I'm finding common ground with you, so you're comfortable in your skin and connected with each other, so candid moments can unfold (I'm not hiding behind any trees trying to capture you!) When I met Laura and Elliott at Cherry Beach, this connection came so easily. I realized right away I owned the same shoes as Laura, and then the week after I edited their engagement session, I ran into them in the washroom line at a Metric concert. We're also all dog people, and spent most of our session swapping stories about our pups. When we do a session together, I truly want to get to know you, learn about you, and what brings meaning to you. I want to know the quirks of your love story, and your personality. Because all of this comes out in your photos, and makes them uniquely yours. Being able to tell Laura & Elliott's love story thorough photos was a complete blast, and I can't wait to share the amazing photos from their wedding!
