Oh do I ever love city weddings, and this one hits so close to my heart, because Minette & Andrew live where I grew up, and so the streets are so familiar. They feel like home, like a wedding in my literal childhood 'backyard'. If you know anyone who grew up in Riverdale in Toronto, you know that they are 'city-sophisticated' without taking themselves too seriously, and they're down to earth, and super fun. Growing up in that neighborhood is the right balance of reality and city fun (no bias, whatsoever).
What I love about this day is it felt 100% 'their way' - intimate, just close friends and family, lots of downtime for hanging out and spending time with their people, beautiful florals, making sure their pup Max was there, and some darn good food. And top it off, a fun gender reveal for their baby to be at the end :)
When I look at these photos, I am just reminded to throw out the life rulebook, and do what you want, when you want, with the people and dogs you want. Thank you two for letting me be there to capture your day!
